A mid-century French Air France celestial planisphere lithograph by Lucien Boucher (French, 1889–1971), produced as part of the artist’s celebrated poster and map designs for the airline. This example corresponds to Boucher’s Air France Zodiac / Constellations design, recorded in period-poster references as a 1951 lithograph and small-format horizontal planisphere.
The composition is built around a deep blue celestial field populated by zodiac figures, constellations, stars, and directional lines, with a luminous terrestrial globe anchoring the lower register.
