Offered is a set of 38 mid 20th Century cocktail glasses made by Verreries Mecaniques Champenoises (VMC) in Reims, France in the 1960s.
In the style of Dorothy Thorpe, the set is comprised of 5 sizes. The glasses have a silver rim, a thin silver ring, and then wider black and silver bands below. While many American mid-century glass producers had similar themes of modernist simplicity such as Fred Press, Georges Briard, Culver, Federal, etc, these glasses are stamped "Reims" and "France" and some have numbers as well, indicating their model numbers and specific glassworks studios.
