The field runs in narrow bands the whole length: a camel caravan with riders, framed lion squares, rows of deer and peacocks, cypress groves, hooked latch-hook borders, checkerboards, star rosettes and, at the center, a stepped diamond medallion in ivory and terracotta. Each band sits on its own ground of indigo, sky blue, teal, brick red, mustard and ivory, so no two feet of the runner look the same.

Vegetable dyes give the colors depth and the gentle abrash of hand-dyed yarn. A runner this long is made for a hotel or gallery corridor, a large entry hall, a full run of stairs or a long open-plan kitchen, and it works with boho, eclectic, folk-art, mid-century and English country interiors.
