Horse hair, springs and a slightly creaky frame determines its age. This is an antique piece so keep in mind. The fabric has marks and wear but could be cleaned if done right. Ideally reupholstered and if you wanted to secure the wood more so it wouldn't creak if that bothered you. The legs are worn but the skirt covers that. Smoke free less
