Here is a fabulous mid-century Chinoiserie cabinet featuring a warm yellow ground framed in deep olive green and richly decorated with scenic Asian raised-relief imagery. Pagodas, figures, flowering branches, birds and rocky landscapes create a wonderfully dimensional composition across the two doors, with additional hand-painted floral and elephant decoration continuing along the sides.
Elaborate brass-tone hardware is a standout throughout, including pierced decorative hinges, corner mounts and an especially beautiful oversized lock escutcheon at the center. The original key is included and lock functions nicely.
The cabinet opens to reveal a fantastic deep green painted interior with three generous removable wood shelves, supported by screw-mounted brackets. Beneath the cabinet is a full-width wood drawer, cleverly incorporated into the highly carved apron and offering additional storage.
The cabinet is constructed as one piece, with an integrated gold-painted base featuring carved details, slender cabriole-style legs, paw feet and a beautifully shaped stretcher centered by a decorative finial. The combination of the warm yellow and green cabinet, dimensional Chinoiserie scenes, ornate hardware and sculptural gold base gives the piece wonderful presence from every angle. I love this piece as a dramatic focal point that is also incredibly functional—perfect as a dry bar or for storing and displaying collections, dishes and serving pieces.

Additional light surface wear, small scratches and areas of patina are consistent with age and use. The decorative hardware is intact, with some light patina, and the original key is included.
