Circa the early Victorian era, the … Read more These are some of the most beautiful antique diamond dangle earrings we’ve ever encountered. Circa the early Victorian era, the 18k gold earrings begin at the top with a leaf-shaped element that contains eleven Rose Cut Diamonds that delineate the outline of the leaf. From there, a ribbonlike motif dangles gracefully below it, containing a combination of Old Mine Cut and Rose Cut diamonds set in a beautiful and intriguing design. They have incredible sparkle, and the open back setting allows light to shine through the stones. The earrings are completely handmade. The earrings mirror each other, which required an added level of craftsmanship to create two different earrings with identical, but flipped, shapes and motifs.

Combined, the earrings contain 68 natural antique diamonds, for a TCW of six carats, with a combination of Old Mine Cuts and Rose Cuts. The largest diamond in each earring dangles from the bottom pear-shaped element and measures 4.75 x 4.2 mm. The smallest diamond is approximately 2 mm. The diamonds that are in the ribbon motif are extremely bright and lively with a color range from G-I and clarity range of SLI-SL2. The Old Mine Cuts have large facets and open culets that give a sparkle that is impressive and truly red carpet worthy.

The earrings measure 2 3/16” x 7/8”. Combined, they weigh 16.3 grams. For pierced ears, they have a shepherds hook back. Unmarked; acid test as 18k. The earrings come with a recent appraisal from LaGravinese Jewelry Appraisal.
