The set comprises one large and one smaller dish, providing complementary sizes for oven-to-table preparation and serving.

Each shallow circular vessel has broad sloping sides and two integral tab handles, giving the dishes the restrained utilitarian character associated with traditional French culinary whiteware. The larger example measures 12 inches overall across the handles, while the smaller measures 9.75 inches, making the pair useful for gratins, casseroles, baked vegetables, side dishes and individual table presentation.
