The substantial rectangular form is clad in deep black stone with contrasting brass trim, creating the richly layered material palette for which the maker is known. The lid is distinguished by a sculptural raised centerpiece composed of four gracefully curved sections in a lighter tessellated stone, individually divided and edged in brass. The combination of geometric construction, polished stone, and warm metal detailing gives the piece a distinctly architectural quality. Beautiful displayed on a coffee table, desk, or console, while the generous interior makes it equally functional for storing personal objects.
