The exterior is detailed from top to bottom in highly polished exceptional 19th century Boulle which includes the front and sides as well. The front and sides are all are accented with ornate gilt symmetrically placed bronze ormolu with Greek style mounts at the top featuring detailed floral and ribbon swag attached to an ebonized wood furniture frame. Also featured are gilt bronze Omalu medallions and various I found this beautifully extravagant piece in the late 1990's in a most exceptionally large antique shop on Designer Row on La Cienega boulevard in Beverly Hills California.
