A finely rendered portrait of a young woman, Continental school, probably French, provisionally dated circa 1770–1790. Apparently executed in pastel on paper mounted onto canvas, the work presents its unidentified sitter seated against a subdued gray-green background. Her body turns slightly while her gaze meets the viewer, creating an intimate composition distinguished by softly modeled features, rosy cheeks, and a restrained smile. The artist remains unidentified; no legible signature is visible in the supplied photographs.

The sitter wears a blue gown embellished with gathered self-fabric trimming across the bodice and sleeves, its low neckline edged with white lace and centered by a small pink flower.
