This is a beautiful vintage Townsend Mfg. Co. of Zeeland & Grand Rapids end table, model #379, featuring a classic French Provincial / Louis XV Revival design. Crafted in mahogany with a shaped serpentine apron, graceful cabriole legs, single drawer, ornate brass-tone hardware, and a lower display shelf.
The top features an inset tooled leather writing surface with an elegant gilt floral border. Signed underneath with the Townsend Mfg. Co. of Zeeland & Grand Rapids maker’s mark. Solid and sturdy with authentic vintage wear, including scratches and wear to the leather top and a ring/finish mark on the lower shelf, as pictured.
