A deep peacock-blue field carrying an allover floral drawn in the Persian Tabriz manner: a pair of saffron-and-coral saz leaves … Read more A deep peacock-blue field carrying an allover floral drawn in the Persian Tabriz manner: a pair of saffron-and-coral saz leaves curl toward each other at each end of the field, and between them run flowering vines with fan palmettes, tulips, rosettes and small blossoms, with two orange sunflower rosettes set at the very centre. The rose-coral main border repeats rosettes and palmettes on a leafy vine, framed by ivory guard stripes with a running floral meander. The blue has softened unevenly across the field so the pile reads in bands of teal and slate, and the back shows the same colours a shade brighter. Palette: peacock blue, teal, rose, coral, salmon, apricot, saffron, olive green, navy, ivory.
