This vessel is a notable event and a beautifully recreated version of the original in Paris. A terrific copy of a Workman weighing and loading silphium at Cyrene, Laconian cup, c. 565 BCE. Silphium was an aromatic and medicinal herb used around the Mediterranean area. Potted and painted in Greece The measurements are 14" in diameter and 1.7" deep. Created in a faux broken surface,
break lines are artificial on the top and back sides.
