The piece … Read more Beautiful, and very rare, vintage Murano hand blown multi-color murrines with metallic black Italian art glass mosaic paperweight. The piece is documented to the Fratelli Toso company, and has an old retail store label still attached. The murrine pieces are all lined in jet black, reflects like metallic solder, like in stained glass windows. It has sapphire blue, red, and green colors. Many of the red cane pieces have a swirling bullseye design. When looking through it, the colors mix, giving even more color combinations. The paperweight is dark, but hold it to any light, and you will see a kaleidoscope of colors. Would make a great display piece on any desk, vanity or coffee table. You will be able to showcase it as a decorative piece in any room. Mid-century era. A must for the paperweight collectors. The paperweight measures 3" wide 2 1/2" high.
