For your consideration, a Louis XIV style giltwood stool (or footstool/ottoman) featuring a richly carved decorative baluster base connected by a serpentine X-form stretcher.Pieces crafted in this classic
European aesthetic. Carved out of wood and finished in an elegant gold gilding (giltwood) with ornate scrolling flourishes along the legs.
Baluster-style or scrolled console legs anchored securely by a central decorative stretcher base.
Upholstered with tight, clean-lined fabric borders—often utilizing patterned velvet or damask—and frequently finished along the lower perimeter with brass nailhead trim. Unmarked, no information from the maker.
