An exceptional, stately pair of Hollywood Regency buffet lamps by the iconic Frederick Cooper. This striking set masterfully synthesizes Neoclassical French Empire structural motifs with British Colonial tropical flair. Featuring dramatic, elongated proportions, this pair is perfectly scaled to anchor a dining room sideboard, formal entry console, or fireplace mantel.
Faux Portoro Marble Finish: The fluted vertical column standards, central urn components, and tiered triangular plinth bases feature a dark, matte-to-satin black lacquer base. They are hand-painted to replicate prized Italian Portoro marble, detailed with distinct, crisp white veining and soft, fluid currents of mustard and amber-gold.
Textured Gilt Cast Metal: The structural framework is executed in heavy cast metal with a highly textured, hand-chiseled "stippled" finish. The metal is finished in a warm, antiqued gold-leaf style gilt.
Iconic Motifs: The central urn is cradled by a tripod scroll-leg armature terminating in classic French Empire rams' head details at the shoulders. Emerging from the urn is an intricate, overlapping crown of sculpted palm tree fronds featuring deeply etched leaf details.
Shade Architecture: The tops terminate in integrated brass gallery ring fixtures specifically engineered to accept classic bouillotte-style paper or silk drum shades.
