An antique Black Forest intricately hand-carved walnut wood mirror, dating around circa 1900.
This style originated in the Black Forest region (traditionally Germany/Switzerland, though highly popular and produced throughout Europe). The framing features highly intricate, naturalistic high-relief carvings of grape clusters, vines, and leaves, characteristic of the late Victorian era. The rich, dark wood is walnut.
