Of substantial scale, the architectural form features a gently domed and faceted lid over a rectangular body, every visible surface densely worked with scrolling vines, foliage, and stylized floral motifs. The exceptionally dense floral decoration is suggestive of Kashmiri metalwork of the period, though the precise regional origin remains unconfirmed. The continuous hand-tooled surface creates remarkable texture and depth, with naturally aged darker recesses emphasizing the intricate workmanship. The hinged lid opens to reveal a generously proportioned interior storage compartment, making the casket as functional as it is decorative. In excellent condition, consistent with wear and age.
