The piece features a prominent figure-eight shape or two overlapping large circular motifs stacked vertically, creating a continuous looping rhythm across the panels. It is divided neatly into four quadrants (a quadriptych format), adding a sharp geometric grid contrast underneath the chaotic colors. The dominant colors are rich blues, deep turmerics, vibrant teals, and emerald greens, accented by stark patches of white, silver, and moody charcoal greys near the center. The painting utilizes complex, heavy abstract layering. Textured white and silver impasto lines run along the circular contours like splashing water or seafoam. You can also spot faint geometric mesh or honeycomb textures in the lower hemisphere, hinting at mixed media elements like collage or textured stencils beneath the acrylic glazes.

Mark Adler is a Fort Lauderdale–based artist whose creative path has been shaped by a lifelong study of fine art across New Zealand, France, and the United States. Drawn to art from a young age, Adler developed his distinctive approach to composition and mixed-media technique through years of exploration, practice, and guidance from artists who taught and inspired him, including Daryl Edwards, Carol Nelson, and his mother, Joan Adler.

While his earlier work reflected interests in sculpture and more classical art forms, Adler has increasingly moved toward abstract and impressionistic works that combine bold color, texture, materials, and dynamic composition. His recent pieces invite viewers into layered visual experiences, encouraging personal interpretation and emotional connection through each viewing.

After relocating from California to Florida in 2000, Adler became part of the South Florida arts community and now shows his work at local galleries and art shows throughout the Fort Lauderdale area. His art is inspired by the deeply individual feelings it evokes and by the creative, often unexpected interpretations that emerge when others engage with his work. See less
