The design is strongly reminiscent of Harvey Probber's mid-century drum tables and bar cabinets, with its combination of exotic wood, curved construction, concealed storage, and contrasting dark base. While not marked or definitively attributed, it exhibits many of the design characteristics associated with Probber's work and we would say it is most like a Probber piece.

The hinged door opens to a painted white interior with two curved shelves, providing storage for bottles, glassware, barware, books, or personal objects. A simple black pull complements the black plinth base and rich rosewood exterior.

The original stone top has been replaced with a custom-cut slab of Silver Wave marble, selected for its dramatic charcoal, gray, cream, and taupe veining. The new marble top elevates the piece while preserving its mid-century character and gives the table a fresh, high-quality finish.

At 21.25 inches in diameter and 20.75 inches tall, the compact scale makes it ideal as a side table, end table, bedside table, occasional table, or small bar cabinet. See less
