Beautiful vintage Chinese export porcelain vase featuring richly detailed Rose Medallion / Famille Rose style decoration. The rounded porcelain body is decorated in vibrant pink, green, orange, blue and gilt tones with alternating panels depicting traditional Chinese figural courtyard scenes and colorful floral and bird motifs.

Ornate floral borders and gilt accents surround the individual scenes, creating the highly decorative Chinoiserie appearance associated with traditional Chinese Rose Medallion export wares.

The underside is marked in red:

“MADE IN CHINA – NOT FOR FOOD SERVICE – DECORATIVE ONLY.”

This mark indicates the piece was manufactured specifically as decorative export porcelain rather than for food service. Maker is unknown. Estimated late 20th century, approximately 1970s–1990s.
