An Abstract Expressionist style oil painting by Japanese-American artist Reiko Sakagami Baum (1927-2021). Layered hues of black, dark brown, orange, and red intermingle in this abstract painting. Unsigned, the painting is framed in a gold tone wooden frame.
Lifelong artist, Reiko Sakagami Baum was originally from Japan and was known for painting. She attended art school in New York where she met her future artist husband, Michael Baum. The Baum's owned a framing company before becoming the owners and horse breeders of Man O' War Farm in Lexington, KY, where they lived out their lives.
