Vintage handwoven Turkish kilim rug featuring a beautifully balanced geometric composition in a soft, time-worn palette. The field is dominated by dusty rose / muted blush, complemented by slate blue, deep indigo, terracotta orange, sage green, ivory, brown, and muted burgundy.
The design is organized around large stepped diamond medallions filled with smaller geometric motifs, surrounded by angular forms and stylized botanical elements. A wide geometric border of alternating lozenges, crosses, and triangular motifs frames the central composition. The restrained colors and visible variations in the handweaving give the piece an appealing, authentic character.
Flatwoven construction, consistent with traditional Turkish kilim weaving. The reverse shown in the photographs displays the woven structure and coloration. Finished with natural fringe at the ends.
