This lovely Nutcracker is made out of Norwegian pewter/tinn. This stunning piece of mid-century metalwork features detailed designs depicting Vikings, including Heilag Olav/Saint Olaf, and the pattern is embossed on the handles. Both handles are marked "Pewter | Tinn | Norway", see pictures. This lovely serving utensil ocomes with the bottom of the box (no lid), which details the maker as Hardanger Sylvplett. This would be a fabulous addition to any collection of Viking memorabilia, vintage pewter, or for serving guests at your table!
