On the back is a further signature 'Carlo Montarsolo di Napoli' with the date and title; there is also a stamp certifying participation in the national extemporaneous painting competition in Ravenna. The work comes from the Campari company collection. The painter Carlo Montarsolo, originally from Terni but who lived and trained in Naples, had an artistic phase in the 1950s inspired by seascapes. In particular, between 1955 and 1961, after encountering the paintings of Braque and Picasso during a stay abroad, he absorbed the lessons of Analytical Cubism. Upon returning to Italy, he studied and painted new images poised between reality and abstraction. The work presented here is part of this production. Presented framed. official proof of authenticity,
