This striking mid-20th-century textile features a highly stylized silver-grey horse or unicorn-like figure surrounded by colorful flowers, foliage, butterflies and a fantastical bird, set against a rich terracotta-red background. The composition combines a modern, graphic aesthetic with the traditional Aubusson tapestry tradition, creating a particularly decorative and colorful piece. The contrasting shades of red, grey, turquoise, yellow, pink and green give the tapestry a distinctive and lively character.
