Just in,
this Antique English Majolica Egg Cup Caddy Cruet Set c.1875-1890
This is such a wonderful piece of English antique Majolica.
This charming basket has 4 egg cups that are in very good antique condition, no chips or repairs.
The basket has lovely flower on both sides and a lovely corded handle.
There is no visible stamped or incised manufacturer mark on the exposed ceramic body, which is very common for Victorian Majolica of this era.
However, the specific combination of the basketweave exterior pattern, the vibrant pink/magenta cup interiors, and this distinct mottled underside glaze points strongly toward a British manufacturer, most likely George Jones or Holdcroft, or potentially an Etruscan Majolica piece by Griffin, Smith & Hill.
Very good antique condition, consistent with age and use, no chips or repairs.
