Fantastic Vintage 1959 Equestrian Oil Painting.
Well done portrait of two handsome chocolate horses. The larger with a white stripe and intelligent, direct gaze. The smaller with more of a white star, peers calmly to the side. Both in harnesses.
Gorgeous coloration of rich greens, tans and browns surrounds them. Professionally framed in a beautiful 2.5” solid oak concave frame with terrific grain. Strung for hanging. Signed and dated in bottom right corner.
Wonderful detail and warm, inviting palette make this an excellent example of vintage horse portraiture.
Measuring 19.5”w x 19.5”h x 2.25”d
