Produced circa 1900–1921, this piece exemplifies the richly decorative aesthetic popular at the turn of the 20th century. The body and lid are elaborately chased and repoussé-worked, depicting charming village scenes of daily country life—figures, architecture, and pastoral details brought to life in remarkable relief. The depth and dimensionality of the ornamentation create a captivating play of light across the surface.

Crafted in silver plate over a base metal, typically nickel silver or copper, the caddy reflects Barbour Silver Co.’s reputation for producing high-quality hollowware with both artistry and durability. The lid fits securely, preserving its original function while enhancing its sculptural presence.

A striking addition to a tea service, silver collection, or decorative display, this antique tea caddy offers both historical charm and exquisite craftsmanship.
