Here is a 1970s Brazilian Modernist coffee table by Percival Lafer, featuring a sculptural Brazilian hardwood frame with rich rosewood tones and a smoked gray glass top.
The wood frame features distinctive open U-shaped legs with softly rounded corners, exposed metal fasteners and a long rectangular silhouette. The smoked glass top rests within the frame, creating a beautiful contrast with the deep reddish-brown wood and emphasizing the table's clean architectural lines.
With its low profile, geometric construction and combination of warm wood and glass, this table is a wonderful example of Brazilian Modernist furniture from the 1970s. Lafer labels are still present.
A matching pair of side tables is available separately.
