Beautifully crafted with a woven wicker body, the basket showcases an elaborate mane composed of individually layered, hand-painted wooden or natural-fiber pieces in warm shades of terracotta, rust, and burnt orange.

The expressive lion’s face features intricately woven detailing, playful round eyes, a prominent golden nose, and delicate whiskers. Sculptural ears and four carved wooden paws add character to this imaginative design.

The rounded basket features a richly textured exterior with vertical decorative elements and a fitted woven lid incorporating the lion’s head and magnificent mane. A wonderful combination of traditional basketry and sculptural folk-art craftsmanship.

A fabulous statement piece, perfect for a collected interior, children’s room, or as a unique decorative storage basket. Its warm earthy tones and extraordinary detailing make it equally appealing as a functional basket or whimsical work of art.
