The domed shade has a white enameled interior, which amplifies the light for maximum output. It is also on the shade that we find the maker’s mark for Jieldé lamps, a French company who has been manufacturing articulating lamps in Lyon since 1950. This lamp has three adjustable arms on a sturdy, wide base that allows the fixture to swivel. For maximal freedom of movement, the lamp’s wiring is entirely external, rather than inside the joints, a hallmark of Jieldé’s designs. Comes with 8 feet of wire. The fixture has been professionally cleaned and rewired for US electrical using UL-listed parts and is ready for use in your interior. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering the age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos.
