A lovely 19th-century French daybed crafted in the Louis XVI style. The wooden bedframe has a painted finish that has become nicely worn and patinated with time. The headboard has carved detailing with a slightly curved top. It is upholstered with blue-green flowers set against a light background. Surrounding the upholstered panel is a scalloped tape border for added detail. The fabric shows signs of wear and discoloration consistent with the bedframe’s age and continued use. Tapered feet support the bed, typical of the Louis XVI style. Gently cleaned and tightened, ready for use in your interiors. The frame’s interior can accommodate a full size mattress. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering the age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos.
