This vintage pair of side tables is cut into a wedge, or pie-slice, form, with a softly rounded triangular top and a matching lower shelf. The tops are finished in a warm, reddish-brown veneer with a fine, linear grain and a satiny sheen, edged in a slim dark band that traces the gently rounded corners. Beneath, the frames are built from honey-to-cinnamon rattan poles. At the broad end, a bundle of vertical canes forms a fluted, column-like leg, its rhythmic ribbing echoing the stacked rattan tradition associated with Paul Frankl. A graceful curved rattan bracket sweeps from the top down into the leg, adding a flowing arc to the otherwise angular geometry. At the narrow end, a slender cane leg is secured with neat, dark wrapped lashings that add handcrafted detail at the joints. The lower shelf, in matching wood, provides a handy second tier and keeps the profile balanced and grounded. The finish carries a deep, mellow patina, with subtle shifts in tone across the canes and natural nodes that lend organic character. The two tables are closely matched in scale, construction, and finish, and they can sit side by side to form a larger wedge or a full-circle arrangement.
Place these tables flanking a sofa, beside lounge chairs, in a sunroom, or tucked into the corners of a bedroom, where the two tiers hold lamps, books, and drinks. They complement Mid-Century Modern, Boho, Coastal, Hollywood Regency, and Organic Modern interiors, especially with woven textures and lush greenery. To care for them, dust with a soft, dry cloth or a vacuum brush attachment, wipe the tops with a barely damp cloth, use coasters to protect the finish, and avoid harsh chemicals, standing moisture, and prolonged direct sunlight. Each table measures approximately 26.75 inches (679 mm) wide, 19 inches (483 mm) deep, and 20 inches (508 mm) high. Offered in very good vintage condition, the pair retains its original finish with a warm patina, minor surface scuffs and light edge wear, and is structurally sound with no visible repairs or significant damage.
