Rendered in a bold and inturtive style, the figures are built with layered washes of violet, rose, ochre, and white, contrasted against vibrant green backgrounds. The use of negative space and translucent color fields emphasizes musculature and movement while maintaining an abstract edge. The works are cataloged on the reverse as F194, F195, and F196.
Executed on textured watercolor paper and preserved in protective sleeves, these paintings reflect a modern approach to classical life drawing. They can be framed individually or as a triptych to emphasize continuity of form and palette.A compelling set for collectors of contemporary figurative art, academic studies or expressive watercolor technique.
