A muted blue-grey paint, hand-rubbed through to warm wood undertones along the edges and panel moldings, gives it a softly weathered character. Four small drawers run in a row above four paneled doors, with carved rosettes tucked at the upper corners and shallow pilaster stiles dividing the front into formal, symmetrical bays.

Built from solid pine, the case features framed and paneled doors with stepped moldings, paneled side construction, and small round knobs that keep the hardware quiet and period-correct. The front legs are turned in a baluster profile, tapering gently toward small feet, while a pair of simpler center supports steadies the long span. The finish is matte and layered, with glaze settled into the recesses and brushwork visible beneath the paint.

It works beautifully as a dining room buffet beneath a gilt mirror or a grouping of botanical prints, with table lamps and a pair of tole tobacco jars on top. In a wide entry hall, it can hold a stack of linen-bound books and a large blue-and-white ginger jar. Pair it with rush-seat side chairs, a worn Oushak rug, and a farmhouse trestle table to lean fully into the country French look, or set it against limewashed walls with a contemporary abstract above for a more collected, layered feel.
