From a distance, this piece uses the classic Rococo motifs of an urn and tassels, but up close the urn is actually a column and scrollwork, while the tassels are layered foliate designs. Detailed scrollwork and foliate designs are complemented by fruit and bird motifs. The mirror is two separate pieces of glass, and the base is supported by plywood. This mirror is in need of restoration. This piece was acquired from an estate located in Greenwich, Connecticut. Good condition with surface wear appropriate to age. The manufacturer and exact date of creation are unknown. The dimensions are 54 in. W x 106 in. H x 3 in. D. This weighs 160 lb. See less
