This bronze sculpture depicts two children in oversized firefighter helmets in a playful scene around a tall ladder. One climbs while holding a nozzle, while the other steadies the ladder below. A slender hose curves down to a textured, naturalistic base.
Modeled faces, curled hair, rolled sleeves and work clothes give the group its expressive character. At 20 inches tall, the sculpture offers a strong vertical accent for a console, shelf or office display.
The sculpture dates to circa 2000. Unsigned.
