Make a vibrant, artistic statement with this exceptional Postmodern studio pottery fish vase, circa 1980s–1990s. Celebrating a bold Memphis Milano-inspired aesthetic, this hand-sculpted ceramic vessel features a dramatic, highly stylized fish form covered in an expressive, multi-colored high-gloss glaze. Splashes of rich turquoise, deep teal, vivid violet-purple, and sunny yellow accents are accented by abstract line work and swirling black brushstrokes.
The vase features a delightful heart-shaped top opening mimicking an upturned fish mouth, alongside sculptural raised-relief fins and applied wavy eye elements. Equal parts whimsical and sophisticated, this striking art object anchors a console table, mantel, or pedestal with unforgettable contemporary coastal charm.
