This early pair of wooden skis was made by Revol Neveu of Grenoble, a city central to the birth of French Alpine skiing, and acquired in Annecy in the Haute-Savoie. The skis keep their sculpted knob tips, incised grooves, and the maker’s oval stamp. Includes original leather toe plates and buckled leather bindings. The matching natural-wood poles carry rattan baskets laced with leather. With deep, honest patina, the set reads as sculpture on the wall, suited to a ski chalet, mountain house, or collected rustic-modern interior. See less
