The wood has a rich, dark patina that brings out its grain, while ornate tracery, pointed arches and painted heraldic shields shape the tall backs. Carved circular motifs accent the armrests, and turned legs with casters add a practical touch. The original finish shows graceful age, preserving the depth and character of the wood and a ceremonial silhouette.

With their commanding 62.75-inch height, these antique wood chairs make a striking pair for a library, study, entry hall or formal living space. Use them as statement seating beside a console, around a game table, or as sculptural accents where Gothic Revival furniture and historic detail can take the lead. Visible joinery and the interplay of carved and painted surfaces give each chair strong presence from every angle, while the casters allow movement within the room.

The pair is offered together; each chair measures 26.75 inches wide, 23.25 inches deep and 62.75 inches high. Made in the 19th century, the chairs are listed in good condition. The original wood finish has age-appropriate patina and some fading, with noticeable wear on the armrests and minor surface scratches on the seats. They are described as structurally sound, with no visible repairs or significant damage. See less
