Ridgway & Co., based in Staffordshire, England. Characteristic of the classic Blue Willow pattern, this Chinoiserie transferware design showcases a romanticized landscape with pagodas, a bridge with travelers, a willow tree, and two doves in flight.

The stamp on the back is dated "1832", the date this pattern's copper plate originated, not the manufacturing date. This piece is stamped "England", confirming this piece was manufactured between 1891 and the 1930s. The word "England" was added to stamps following the U.S. McKinley Tariff Act of 1890 to denote the country of origin for import.

"Semi-China" stamped on the back refers to a durable type of refined earthenware/ironstone. It is thicker and stronger than standard pottery but less delicate and vitrified than true translucent porcelain.

The back is also embossed with "3 24 K", which are either pattern/size notations or the manufacturing month and year (March 1924), and a craftsman's mark (K).
