The top of rectangular form has a pair of fall leaves with gently rounded corners and a chamfer edge. Each leave has a single mahogany support beneath the surface of the table to allow either of the two sides to be open at any one time. The table has a frieze drawer to the front and a dummy drawer front to the reverse with turned handles to either side. Raised on thin turned legs with miniature brass socket castors to finish. Superior colour and grain throughout and certainly better than the competition. A truly outstanding piece of early victorian craftsmanship. English, circa 1845.
