This modern 9x12 area rug comes in rust and brown.

Hand knotted and one of a kind, this handmade wool rug is made from a blend of hand-spun local wool and fine merino wool, colored with natural vegetable dyes extracted from local plants. Look closely and you will see an abrash, a gentle shift in shade within a single color. It comes from hand-spun wool taking natural dye slightly differently from batch to batch, and it is a hallmark of a true handmade rug. The pile is trimmed to a moderate thickness, then stone-washed and sun-dried for a natural sheen and a soft feel underfoot.

It holds a full living room seating group, a dining table for six to eight, or a spacious primary bedroom. The rich rust and brown tones, with touches of green and tan, give an eclectic or boho chic room its focal point, and they add warmth to modern farmhouse and industrial loft spaces. The flowers soften clean-lined, modern furniture.
