The tall, narrow cabinet stands on graceful cabriole legs and is topped with a white marble slab featuring delicate grey veining, surrounded by a decorative pierced brass gallery.

The front features an unusual upper cabinet door decorated with vertical fluting, creating a trompe-l'œil effect reminiscent of a row of books. Below, a narrow pull-out writing slide is fitted with a leather surface, providing a convenient space for writing or displaying small objects. The lower cabinet door showcases an intricate geometric marquetry design, with contrasting wood veneers arranged in a striking diamond and chevron pattern. Both compartments open to reveal generous interior storage, including a shelf in the lower section.

The sides are further embellished with beautifully matched chevron-patterned veneers, highlighting the craftsmanship and attention to detail. The warm rosewood tones, decorative brass hardware, and slender proportions give this versatile piece a sophisticated appearance.

The antique cabinet is in good condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich, warm patina. The marble top has two stable hairline cracks, and the leather writing surface shows some water rings (see detailed images).

Ideal for a powder room, entryway, hallway, or beside a chair as a narrow occasional cabinet.
