It works and still has its original strap (back: “Ernest Borel Neuchatel”).
This is a “cocktail” wristwatch by Ernest Borel from the 1950s – a charming vintage ladies’ watch distinguished by the brand’s iconic rotating “kaleidoscope” dial. The black and gold dial creates a fascinating, hypnotic play of light with every movement of the wrist; it is complemented by striking, arrow-shaped red hands and applied gold-tone hour markers. The watch is housed in a round, 25 mm case with elegantly curved lugs, a smooth, fixed bezel, and an acrylic crystal. The case is made of 20-micron gold-plated steel and features a case back engraved with “Ernest Borel Swiss.”
Inside, the mechanical “Synchron 26” movement with 17 jewels keeps time. It features a manual winding movement and displays hours, minutes, and "mystery" seconds. The watch is in good vintage condition with minor signs of wear consistent with its age. The dial remains a real eye-catcher. A rare and elegant collector's item, ready to wear.
