Because the design is tone-on-tone, the color leads and the pattern is a quiet second layer. It is a 6x7 overdyed area rug in green.

Hand-knotted in all-natural dyed, hand-spun wool, this rug is one of a kind. The rug was then sun-faded for three to six months, so the sun's energy could organically soften its original colors. Once neutralized, it was overdyed in green and washed, revealing deep, vibrant hues that make each piece a one-of-a-kind work of art. The dye takes differently on each shade of the original design, which is why the pattern shows through tone-on-tone instead of disappearing. You may notice lighter and deeper areas of green across the surface. That layered, uneven color is the signature of an overdyed rug, and together with the hand-tied knots, it gives the rug its own personality. Underfoot, the wool pile is soft and dense, made to handle daily use in busy rooms.

It works well in a living room seating area, a bedroom, a dining nook, or a home office. The saturated green color gives a boho chic, eclectic, or maximalist room its focal point, and it brings energy to a neutral, modern space with white walls and simple furniture. See less
