The vibrant floral motifs present petals in deep violet, soft lavender, and sunny yellow, anchored by stylised pointed foliage and dark green stems against a warm ivory-toned ground. A solid midnight-blue glaze coats the gently flared neck and rim, echoing the dark ground sections nestled between the upper petals. The vase rests upon an integral circular foot finished in deep forest green. Its classic pear-shaped profile widens generously through the lower midsection before drawing inward towards a short, concave collar. Raised tubelined piping delineates every individual petal and leaf, forming shallow reservoirs that allow the glossy translucent enamels to pool and shade subtly across the ceramic form under a lustrous clear glaze. Produced in Staffordshire, England, the underside retains clear factory marks impressed into the clay, comprising the uppercase Moorcroft stamp alongside 'Made in England'. A handwritten gold slip signature, likely that of John Moorcroft, appears on the base beside the precise painted date of 18 November 1994, indicating an in-house open day or special collector release. The Heartsense floral pattern was introduced by Moorcroft designer Rachel Bishop. Standing approximately 13.5 cm high, the cabinet vase exhibits the balanced proportions characteristic of small decorative wares from the Burslem pottery. The rich cobalt glaze of the neck continues evenly over the rim into the interior, ensuring a clean and durable glazed finish throughout the entire vessel. See less
