A sturdy brass strap is riveted to the reverse side to create an elevated handle, adapting the heavy military ordnance into a functional pitcher or tankard. The forward face is mounted with two applied pressed-brass emblems associated with the british royal artillery. Positioned towards the mid-body is a relief depiction of a field gun, surmounted by a separate tudor crown, both secured directly through the wall of the casing with copper rivets. Deeply stamped military inspection and production markings remain visible across the exterior base around the central primer. These headstamps include ""75 de"" and ""c.191l 15. C"", indicating manufacture in 1915 during the first world war. The base diameter corresponds to the rimmed flange of a 75 mm field gun casing, measuring approximately 86 mm across the rim. The metal retains an unpolished finish with mellow golden tones, scattered areas of light surface oxidisation, minor firing smudges, and age-related handling marks throughout. The hollow interior remains unlined and displays natural darkening consistent with spent munitions brass. This piece stands 19.2 cm in total height to the lip and weighs 864 grams, offering a solid and authentic domestic conversion from wartime scrap. See less
