The case sides and cupboard door fronts continue this rich veneer work, exhibiting dense burl swirls and warm amber tones throughout the timber. Each cabinet is configured with an open recess above a single enclosed cupboard. This divided arrangement provides versatile storage, allowing easy access to bedside reading or display items in the upper compartment while keeping private possessions concealed below. The cupboard doors are mounted with decorative cast metal backplates and drop handles, hung on neat flush hinges. Architectural detailing accents the upright stiles, which are finished with carved leaf capitals just beneath the projecting top overhang. Below the base moulding, the cabinets stand on four sturdy cabriole legs carved with acanthus foliate relief at the knees, terminating in rounded pad feet.
